September - December Goals 2012

Fall is almost here and I am starting to think about what I would like to achieve by the end of the year. While I have a list a mile long of things I would love to do, I have decided to pick 4 goals and focus on them.

Lose 15 Pounds
My weight has been creeping up for a while and I am tired of it! I rarely feel energetic and I think my extra weight might be the reason. I hate feeling like I am dragging so it is time to get to work!

Start Preschool With Aubrey
We have decided to keep Aubrey home for preschool!  I am thinking about doing a letter of the week and lots of hands on activities. I am so excited to spend this time with her!

Cook More From Scratch
I would really like to start replacing more of the foods we eat with homemade versions. I am excited to try out recipes and see if I can increase the amount of healthy foods my family eats.

Blog More Consistently
I love blogging but haven't made it a priority in my life. I want to start planning out posts and posting on a more consistent basis.

I love how just writing my goals down gives me excitement and focus. When I make my weekly goals, I will make sure that they include mini steps toward these goals. I feel that these goals should be attainable. Time to get started!

Moving On.......

We are selling our house!

After lots of discussion and prayer, we put an offer in on a house and the owner's accepted. Of course, our house has to sell first for this to all come together.

I have mixed feelings about this move.

There are so many things about our home that I love.
Big windows
Lots of light
Our little backyard
Our cul-de-sac and all the kid's friends the kids grow, the house just seems to be shrinking.
But then I think of so many people in the world that live in teeny, tiny homes.
Then I feel selfish and spoiled.

I have a battle in my mind.
Should I be thankful for what God has provided? (I am)
Is God blessing us again and we need to be open to his plan? (This home is an amazing deal and would be a great fit for our family)

After struggling with this, we decided to move forward knowing that God can open or close doors along the way and we are anxious to see what will happen. Our deal is structured so that we can walk away from the house if ours doesn't sell in a certain amount of time. Our thought is that if  the other house is God's plan for us, he will bring us a buyer. If his plan is for us to stay, no buyer will come.

We are in a great place mentally.
Completely trusting
Praying fervently
Feeling grateful for this home He has provided

Longing, most of all, to be completely in His will.
